Famous Old Time Music is the place to find vintage instruments including Martin guitars, Gibson banjos and mandolins, Dobros, fiddles and more fiddles, basses, autoharps, hammered and lap dulcimers and much more. Famous Old Time Music Company also carries accessories and recordings and provides lessons, repairs, jam sessions, workshops, live shows, good pickin’ stories plus lots of good folks who share a love of acoustic music.

 

Howdy.

This note is a sad one for me to write. Vernon and I have decided to close
down the Famous Old Time Music Wapak at the end of this year. The in-go
just does not match the out-go.

Vernon plans to list the building for sale and will be selling the contents
over the next couple of months. He and his brothers will be at the building
taking care of this until the sale is completed.

We will continue teaching and doing sales/repairs by appointment at the
Cincinnati studio. We will also continue with the Appalachian Grass and
want to increase the number of showdates in the upcoming year. Hopefully we
can book some shows in the Wapak area so we can visit with the friends we
have made here. We will miss you.
